Uma Suresh Profile Ms Uma Suresh is a trained mental health professional from NIMHANS, Bangalore with over 25 years’ experience. Counseling and Training are her special interest areas. Her areas of work include individual counseling & therapy for adults and teenagers as well as school counseling. She is trained in CBT & Trauma focused approach to Individual Therapy, that inform her practice. She also engages in Family Counseling & Grief Counseling. A freelance Counselor and Trainer, she is actively engaged in one to one Counseling & Psychotherapy for adults and young people and also conducts trainings for schools, workplaces and public groups on customized topics. She is an affiliate EAP Counselor and trainer and engages with several corporate workplaces. Uma Suresh is an Accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor and has been conducting the standard MHFA training and Suicide Prevention training for workplaces & members of the public. A strong believer in the ability of individuals for self-development, she is keen on responding to the mental health needs of people & organizations through evidence-based methods & techniques.
