We are proud to share MHFA India’s Consolidated Learners’ Feedback Report spanning 2019 to 2024—a significant milestone in our journey of advancing mental health literacy across the country. Since our inception in 2017, MHFA India has remained steadfast in its mission to normalize mental health conversations and equip individuals with the skills needed to support others in distress. This multi-year report marks our continued commitment to building a responsive, data-informed, and impact-driven mental health ecosystem.

The last five years have witnessed widespread adoption of MHFA programs across diverse sectors where corporates, education, non-profits, and community settings. Through our Standard and Blended Workplace courses, we’ve trained thousands of individuals, reflecting India’s growing need for practical, empathetic, and accessible mental health education. The feedback gathered from participants via structured LMS-based surveys offers us deep insights into what’s working, where we need to improve, and how our programs are shaping knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors.

Key findings indicate a consistently high level of satisfaction: over 97% of participants found the content clear, 98% reported increased confidence in identifying signs of distress, and nearly 99% said they would recommend the course to others. Equally important is the steady improvement in perceived relevance, instructor expertise, and the applicability of learned skills. Feedback on suicide-related modules, empathy-building, and non-judgmental listening reflects our courses’ sensitivity and effectiveness in tackling stigma.

Notably, qualitative feedback highlights the course’s ability to promote self-awareness, challenge deep-rooted biases, and create a ripple effect of positive conversations. Participants across the board expressed how the training helped them not just support others, but also introspect and enhance their own emotional resilience.

This report isn't just a reflection on past success; it’s a foundation for future impact. As we move into a more digitally enabled, post-pandemic mental health landscape, MHFA India doubles down on post-training initiatives, peer community-building, and deeper workplace integration. Continuous learning, ethical delivery, and participant-centric refinement remain at the heart of what we do.

We sincerely thank all our learners and organizational partners. Your trust and candor shape the future of Mental Health First Aid in India.
