You can become part of an international community and run one of the most recognized, evidence based training in Mental Health. You do not need to be a professional in mental health to become an Instructor. You need passion and commitment to become an accredited MHFA Instructor and then train your community in MHFA programme.
You must be certified by Mental Health First Aid India to teach Standard Mental Health First Aid courses in India. Certification is achieved through a 5-day interactive training. All instructor course for individuals are held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. During the training, each instructor candidate *is expected to present and teach an assigned portion of the 2 days course to the group, provide a peer review for their colleagues, conduct an individual evaluation and provide a feedback to each candidate.
Certification is not guaranteed for all participants. To become certified, participants must be present for the entire training, satisfactorily deliver the presentation and pass a written exam.

The Role of Instructor Post Certification will be informed by the MHFA team to all the applicants through a terms and conditions document.
